Let's say you are concerned about the market falling because of seasonal issues-- what would you do to find our FOR FREE just what your home might sell for a month from now or even six months from now. Well, okay, try Zillow and looking for homes like yours nearby. Confused with the number of homes you see there? Perhaps. Then again that is Craig's List. You can find the FSBO's (For Sale By Owners) or as I call them "unrepresented sellers". Pricing on these listings might be a bit iffy as there may be some "wishful thinking" involved in some of those postings. All that is free! BUT did you know that a reputable real estate agent can provide you similar information, accurately, at no charge? Of course! Well maybe he or she would just love to get a referral from you at some point in the future, or maybe you would trust that person to sell your home for you at some point in the future-- but I doubt they would get pushy about that.
