Before you choose a real estate professional to assist you in the process of buying a home, you should find out key differences between your local real estate agent and a Realtor.Local real estate agents can be defined as real estate professionals who have passed minimum standards for education . Licensed real estate agents typically go on to join their local association of realtors. An example would be a Denver real estate agent joins the Denver Association of Realtors. A realtor or a member of the National Association of Realtors can clearly be defined as a real estate professional that has sworn an oath to a strict Code of Ethics. State real estate laws will differ from state to state. This makes sense because the real estate climate in a hurricane stricken state is going to be different than real estate in an area like Denver. The National Association of Realtors however is the world’s largest professional trade association, so it makes sense that a realtors guidelines to follow would go beyond state law.
