If you've spent any time at all on the front range of Colorado, you know that bicycling is a hobby and sport that many residents of Colorado avidly enjoy, Whether it's the beautiful scenery, wonderful sunny days, variety of terrain, or just being outdoors, Coloradans love their bicycles! And the metro area aims to cater to the two-wheeled enthusiasts with bike trails galore throughout our cities. As a matter of fact, the Mile High City boasts more than 85 miles of paved trails that connect to hundreds of additional miles of dirt trails offering mountain bike adventures. Denver's scenic bike trails include the South Platte River Greenway, the Cherry Creek Bike Path, the Clear Creek Bike Path, the Bear Creek Bike Trail, the High Line Canal, the C470/E470 Trail, the Clear Creek Bike Path, the Ralston Creek Trail, and the Sand Creek Regional Greenway.

If you don't own a bike, don't fret, you can still get your spin on. Denver B-cycle is Denver's bike sharing system. Denver B-cycle is owned and operated by Denver Bike Sharing, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. With 87 stations and 700 bikes throughout ten central Denver neighborhoods, you can check out and return a B-cycle at any station from 5:00 am to midnight, 365 days a year. The price is $9 for 24-hours, and there are monthly, annual, and Flex Plass options as well. B-cycle is designed for locals and visitors for short, one-way trips that are 30 minutes or less. It's an easy, cost-effective, fun way to get around, commute to work, or ride to a local event.

The following links will help you plan your next outing or off-road bike trip:

As the weather warms and summer approaches, get your bicycle tuned if you have one, and plan to share/rent one if you don't. However you choose to ride, make time to enjoy the beautiful outdoors and get a breeze in your hair soon. It will definitely boost your 'tude' and help you escape the boundaries that you normally only explore on foot or by car. Break out of the neighborhood! And oh! the fresh air!
