WHEN: May 3-4
WHERE: Civic Center Park, Colfax Ave. and Broadway

Get in the holiday spirit by dragging yourself out of bed and heading to the Cinco de Mayo "Celebrate Culture" Parade, which kicks off a two-day Cinco celebration.
The parade gets going at 10am, starting at Colfax and Welton and looping around to Lincoln at 13th Ave -- you'll catch mariachis, folkloric dancers, and -- most importantly -- work up an appetite for all the "culture" you'll be consuming in the form of tacos and tequila later.
Join the crowd in Civic Center Park for the Cinco de Mayo Celebrate Culture Festival, one of the largest cultural events in Colorado, with more than 400,000 visitors each year. Enjoy live entertainment on three stages, hundreds of exhibitors, great food and drink, children's activities, a parade - and the hotly contested green chili cook off!
Cinco de Mayo commemorates the victory of the outnumbered Mexican army over French forces, providing the momentum and national confidence for the Mexican people to drive foreign power from their country. Today, Cinco de Mayo celebrates the tradition of freedom and acknowledges the beauty of Latino culture.
This year's Cinco de Mayo "Celebrate Culture" Festival in Civic Center Park boasts three large stages with live entertainment going from morning until night, featuring Mariachi, Cumba, Salsa, Norteno and many other genres of Latino music and dance. As you stroll through Civic Center Park, check out vendors displaying Mexican folk art and handcrafted goods. If you've brought your little ones along, be sure to check out the fun and festive Children's Carnival, with hands-on activities, fuzzy animals and rides kids will love.
Food is a big part of Cinco de Mayo, and there will be plenty of it at the Celebrate Culture Festival. More than 350 vendors will be serving up tacos, enchiladas, burritos and more of the best Colorado Mexican cuisine. Don't miss the annual Green Chili Bowl Cook-Off, a hotly contested competition featuring 15 restaurants vying for the coveted first place prize. Green chili is a Denver diet staple, so expect these offerings to be the best of the best.
If you are still wanting more food and fun check out some featured restaurants who offer their own celebrations:
Friday, May 2nd: Since it's possible that you might be consuming a decent amount of tequila in the near future, try switching up your beverage of choice on Friday and check out the Cinco de Vino party at The Living Room. Drink some wine, enjoy Latin dance performances and tunes from DJ B-Money, and maybe even win a bottle of bubbly from their raffle. Tickets here
Saturday, May 3rd: Playhard Productions is back to bring you their Cinco de Drinko Pub Crawl. One ticket gets you admission to one crazy fiesta that includes all-you-can-drink beers, prizes, and sombreros. Thrillist faithfuls also get a discount (we got your back) -- just enter the promo code "Thrillist" when checking out." rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Get loco
Sunday, May 4th: Marg’s Taco Bistro is getting in on the action with their Quattro de Mayo fiesta at their Downtown location. There will be all kinds of drink specials and swag, and of course, tacos will be everywhere.
Weather this weekend should be spectacular, so take your family out and enjoy Cindo de Mayo and catch spring fever in #Denver this weekend.
There is something for everyone!!!
