Centennial Colorado Promotes Clean And Green

     Centennial Colorado promotes “Clean and Green” conservation.  Many of the city of Centennial’s ideas and recommended services are posted on Centennial’s website.  Conservation is no longer the wave of the future it is here and here to stay.  Recycling, reusing and reducing is good for the environment and believe it or not real estate.  The website has resources for home renovation, pollution reduction and the disposal of hazardous household waste.      

     Links to ideas on home renovation are available.  They promote the use of solar energy capture and daylighting.  Daylighting is using the sun’s light to make your house brighter reducing energy consumption.   Information on the use of green building materials are available.
     
     Tips for carpools or walk to school programs help to reduce air pollution.  Making Centennials air quality better for all to breath.  Resources to create your own carpool or walk to school group are on the website.  
    
     There is also helpful links on how to get rid of hazardous household waste.  Chemicals that hang around because know one knows how to dispose of them, well the answer is on the website.   No longer do those hazardous chemicals have to sit on the shelves for years.  The answers on what to do with them can be found.
 

     Conserving keeps Centennial clean and in turn makes our city a better place to live and increases property values.
