Many of the housing issues in Colorado today revolve around affordable housing. I am sure you have heard it everywhere, "Denver, low inventory, no affordable housing, etc." Well the city of Loveland has been trying to address the issue. Without any simple solutions, on February 7th, the city council approved Loveland's Housing Authority and Habitat for Humanity to be preferred providers for affordable housing issues.More Recently, the city council approved a 1.25% of2016 taxes in order to create an affordable housing fund. The Affordable Housing Commission has also been working for more than a year on amending the city’s Affordable Housing Code. The Planning Commission approved the changes on March 13, and the City Council will consider adopting those changes on Tuesday.
