Welcome To Home Ownership

Nice house!
Now it's time to keep it that way.

When buying a house you need to consider the future resale of your home as well as the current purchase price you just bought it for.
A typical home has over 10,000 parts. Every part has an impact to the operation of many other parts.
When all parts are working together, you are rewarded with a house that is durable, comfortable, healthy and energy efficient.
When you go to sell it in the future, the next buyer will expect to be rewarded with the same functioning home. Deferred maintenance can and will effect how much your home will be worth.
Prior to the purchase of your home you probably had it inspected. Your home inspector gave you a report. The report was a general overview of the condition of your new home. The home inspection could not predict future events such as dripping faucets, leaky roofs, heating failures.

Here are a few steps to keep it great shape.
#1 Monitor the house on a regular basis
#2 Recognize potential problems
#3 Correct the problems properly. Should a problem arise it's best to get expert advice. Nothing is more costly than having to repair something twice.

Home Ownership is a great experience and home maintenance is a great responsibility. With the proper understanding can also be very profitable.
Enjoy your house and have fun with it!
