I just ran across this article "Six Questions to Ask" and the timing couldn't have been better.
These are essential things to know. In the next couple of days I will be showing new homes to a buyer of mine.
Denver happens to be a hot market, and builders know they have a high demand for their homes. The value may come to you in other ways.
I would like to add, if you are looking to get the best deal, I found the best time to buy is in the construction cycle is:
At the beginning of the development. Builders like to have homeowners purchase early and usually the homes will be at a lower price. This shows activity and creates interest in the development. As more homes begin to sell, builders will increase their sales price and you can realize an equity gain on your home.
Or at the end of the construction cycle. Sometimes when a builder is closing out their inventory or models, they will discount the homes so they can move on to their next community of homes.
