Colorado and Your Dog

Meet our pandemic Houston ice storms puppy!  We lost both of our dogs a few months apart, but they were with us pre babies and had a good life.  My husband and the kids were talking about getting another dog forever...Mom just needed some convincing.  Fate would have it, a family friend called, and there was one puppy left from where they were getting their dog.  Do you want it?  Still not 100% convinced, I gave the go-ahead, and Mitchell flew to Houston just as the airpots were reopening after their crazy ice storms in February of 2021.

Let's dig a little deeper into the dog loving state of Colorado.  In the handful of places I have lived I have never seen such a dog friendly active community.  It's almost strange to see people walking or hiking without a dog or if there's no dog bowl at the local coffee house or brewery.  Moving here this was the first time I heard of the "office" dog.  Most places that sell treats for humans have some sort of dog version.  Maybe it's just me getting older (and falling more in love with our dog) or maybe it's Colorado.  There's something to be said about have a non human companion greet you when you walk through your door.
