This 8,700 square foot Colonial Revival mansion was designed for wealthy New York lawyer Daniel W. Tears. It is also called a classic because its floor plan is square. Notable details include the colonnaded portico, Adamesque entry with elliptical fanlight, and door lintels with stone carvings. The Dry Ice Factory is a nice piece of history located at 3300 Walnut Street
This stalwart 1929 red-brick factory building in the RiNo arts district resembles the historic warehouses a little further south in LoDo. When operated by Liquid Carbonic, the factory produced dry ice and carbon dioxide for soda fountains; since then it has been repurposed to house dozens of artist studios, ceramic studios, and two separate fine arts galleries.
The Mariposa District
An example of one of Denver’s early working class neighborhoods, the Mariposa District is marked by its historic architecture and an eclectic mix of shops and cafes supported by light-rail transit that connects Mariposa to the Auraria Campus, Downtown and all its amenities in minutes.
