That is a huge financial reason so hire a real estate agent to sell your home. Buyers’ agents often avoid placing offers on FSBO homes, effectively limiting your potential buyer selection. If buyer agents are not showing FSBO to their clients than they will never be seen. Most FSBO success stories are successful because the seller knew the buyer or vice versa and are based on the sellers perceptions not reality. Homes that are sold FSBO are typically on the market for on average 8 weeks longer than a regular home sold through an agent. A FSBO really doesnt understand marketing, home signage, and advertising.

Thieves will prey on a FSBO posing as a potential buyer. I could go on and on about security issues now with selling your own home.

The cost to prepare and market a home has shot through the roof. Realtors have several tools that sellers and buyers do not have. It costs a lot of money to sell a home and remember Realtors dont get paid until they sell the house.
