Arvada Community Safety Fair

The City of Arvada/Arvada PD and the Arvada Fire Protection District have teamed up with CAPE (Citizens of Arvada
Preparing for Emergencies) and Apex PRD to host a Community Preparedness and Safety Fair in a local effort to
promote the goals of National Emergency Preparedness month. The Fair will take place at the Apex Center, 13150 W.
72nd Ave., 10 a.m. - 2 p.m., Saturday, September 20. There will be educational games, emergency vehicles, a
preparedness trail and, generously donated by the Salvation Army, FREE refreshments. September 2014 marks the
eleventh annual National Preparedness Month sponsored by the Federal Emergency Management Agency in the US
Department of Homeland Security.
