A Common Household Product Is Magical

Most of us already know that a teaspoon of baking soda will help make your muffins and cookies rise ad become fluffier in the oven, but who knew that a little baking soda mixed with scrambled eggs will make the eggs fluffy or adding them to steamed veggies will keep the veggies nice and green.

So other than cooking there are many uses for baking soda in your home.  Keeping your home clean is a full time job and with all the chemicals found in cleaning agents its literally a "headache" keeping your home clean.

I think we all know you can put baking soda inside your fridge and freezer to keep odors away.   You can also clean dishwashers and coffee makers with baking soda and very little elbow grease.   To remove stubborn stains from counter tops mix a baking soda paste and cover the stain.  Sprinkle your barbecue grills racks with water and then sprinkle them heavily with baking soda and let them set for several hours. Clean them well after and you will be amazed at how clean your grills racks will be.  One of my favorite uses is in the garage.  If you have oil spills in your garage sprinkle them heavily with wet baking soda and scrub the stain with a scrub brush. Let it stand a few hours and your oil stain should just wash away with some water from your hose.  You can also clean all your stainless steel appliances with baking soda and a cotton towel to keep them shiny also helps to reduce those fingerprints and smudge marks. You can literally clean every square inch of your bathroom with baking soda and water.  Clean that shower curtain by soaking it in a bucket of water and baking soda for a few hours. One thing you forget about but it makes a strong odor in the garage are the trash cans.  Add some baking soda and rinse out those trash cans to eliminate the odor. Cleaning your washer machines with baking soda will also save you cash. Buying the commercial cleaning products for HE laundry machines are expensive.  Baking soda will put almost any fire. Just sprinkle it on the fire and it will go out. If you have a pan with grease in it catch on fire pour a box of baking soda on it and the fire will go right out.  So as you can see baking soda really is a must have in any home.  Its affordable, chemical free, and can be used to clean just about everything in your home so no more bottles of multiple cleaners in your cabinets.
