     Heather Gardens, located in southeast Aurora, CO, is an active 55+ community.  Located on 198 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens, it surrounds a 9-hole golf course with ponds and walking trails. 
     There is a 50,000 sq ft clubhouse with an indoor pool, fitness center and an arts and crafts studio as well as a ballroom for community parties or to reserve.  There is also a full service restaurant, Blossoms, open for dinner.  Outdoors is a pool, tennis courts, horseshoe pits and a community garden.  There is a full time activities director who continually provides a variety of classes and events.  There are also 40 different clubs and interest groups like bowling and various card groups.
     Association fees cover full use of the community amenities as well as building maintenance, insurance, water, sewer and heat. 
     There are 5 mid-rise buildings, 3-6 stories tall, that house the condos.  There are also townhomes and duplexes.   The condos range in size from 780 - 2300 sq ft and are priced from below $100,000 to the high $100,000s.  The duplexes range in size from 900 - 1600 sq ft and are priced from the high $100,000s to the mid $300,000s.  The townhomes are 1658 sq ft and are priced from the high $100,000s to mid $300,000s. 
     There are many retail shops within minutes of Heather Gardens as well as medical facilities. There is also Light Rail and Cherry Creek State Park close by.
